Privacy notice
Personal Data Protection · Nuuptech
At Nuuptech we process very little personal data, and we do so transparently. This notice explains what data we collect through this website, what we use it for, and how you can exercise your rights, in accordance with Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties and El Salvador's Personal Data Protection Law (Legislative Decree 144), as applicable. The Spanish version published at /aviso-de-privacidad/ is the legally binding text; this is a convenience translation.
1. Data controller
- Mexico: Nuuptech S.A. de C.V. (RFC NUU140207K61), with address at Calle Manuel J. Clouthier 1123, Piso 1, Colonia Pilares, C.P. 52179, Metepec, State of Mexico, Mexico.
- El Salvador: Nuuptech El Salvador, Sociedad Anónima de Capital Variable, with address at Calle La Mascota No. 533, Colonia San Benito, Distrito de San Salvador, Municipio de San Salvador Centro, department of San Salvador, El Salvador.
For anything related to your personal data —including exercising your rights— you may write to hola@nuuptech.com. In El Salvador, requests are handled by our Data Protection Officer, Tomás Moreno (legal representative), at the same address.
2. What personal data we process
We only collect the data you provide or that is strictly necessary to run the site:
- Contact form: name and email (required); company, phone, area of interest, and the content of your message (optional).
- AI assistant (chatbot): the text of the questions you type and an encrypted (hashed) version of your IP address, used to limit the number of queries and prevent abuse. Please do not include personal or confidential data in your questions.
- AI demo: we only record the length of the text you enter; we do not store its content.
- Browser local storage: we store preferences and usage counters in your browser (see the Cookies section).
We do not process sensitive personal data (such as health, ethnicity, beliefs, or biometric data), nor financial or asset data, through this site.
3. Why we use your data (purposes)
We use your data solely for these necessary purposes:
- To handle and follow up on your contact or information request.
- To answer your questions through the AI assistant.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (query limit).
- To improve the content of the site and our assistant.
We carry out no secondary purposes: we do not send advertising or newsletters, we do not build profiles for commercial purposes, and we do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Legal basis
We process your data based on your consent —which you give by submitting the form, using the assistant, or accepting this notice— and on our legitimate interest in handling your request and keeping the site secure. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see the Rights section), without retroactive effect.
5. Processors and data transfers
To run the site we rely on providers that process data on our behalf (processors), under our instructions and subject to confidentiality and security obligations:
- Web3Forms — receives contact form messages and delivers them to our inbox.
- Google Cloud / Gemini — processes the AI assistant's queries and, if you ask us to structure your request on the contact form, the text you wrote there.
- Our website hosting provider.
Some of these providers are located in the United States, so your data may be processed outside Mexico and El Salvador. We require these processors to provide protection safeguards equivalent to those of the applicable law. We do not share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. Apart from these processors, we do not transfer data to third parties; should a transfer requiring your consent ever be needed, we would request it beforehand and you may indicate whether you accept it.
6. Cookies and local storage
This site does not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. We only use your browser's local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) for technical and functional purposes: remembering your preferences (for example, the assistant's style or sound) and keeping the assistant's query counter. You can clear this storage at any time from your browser settings, without affecting access to the site.
7. Data retention
We keep your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described and the applicable legal obligations. AI assistant logs are kept for a short period, with the IP address always hashed, and are then deleted or anonymized.
8. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Objection (ARCO) over your personal data at any time. If your data is processed by our El Salvador entity, you also have the rights of Portability, Erasure, and Restriction of processing (ARCO-POL).
To exercise them, write to hola@nuuptech.com stating your name, the right you wish to exercise, and the information needed to handle your request. We will respond within a maximum of 20 business days, and exercising these rights is free of charge. You may also withdraw your consent through the same channel.
If you believe your rights were not properly addressed, you may contact the competent authority: the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno in Mexico, or the Agencia de Ciberseguridad del Estado (ACE) in El Salvador.
9. Automated decisions
Our AI assistant is informational only: it answers questions about our services and does not make automated decisions that produce legal effects on you or significantly affect you.
10. Security
We apply administrative, technical, and physical security measures proportionate to the risk, including encryption of communications (HTTPS), hashing of IP addresses, access controls, and minimization of the data we collect. In the event of a security breach significantly affecting your data, we will inform you and, where the law requires, notify the relevant authority.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice to reflect legal changes or changes to our services. We will publish any changes on this page, indicating the date of the last update, so we encourage you to review it periodically.
